Signed from neighbours Cambridge City in 2006, Langers crossed the A14 and has had a successful Histon career so far.
His solid and dependable performances in the heart of the Histon defence have resulted in numerous clean sheets. Always a threat
in the air from set-pieces (as any Leeds United fan will testify!) Langers often chips in with important goals.
At 6'3, strong in the air and built like a brick shit house, there isn't much
gets past Langers. His outstanding performances and exemplary attitude have
earned Matt the captain's armband this season. With an impressive list of
previous clubs, including Watford, Aldershot and Barnet, our 28-year old captain
brings experience and a calm head to the team. It is also worth mentioning that
Langers is always the first player to make his way to thank the fans for their
support at the end of each match - home or away - win, lose or draw. Something
which is noted and appreciated by fans. Langers
